This policy covers the Tech Logistics mobile app for iOS and Android ("the app"). It explains what the app collects, why, how long we keep it, and how to ask for it to be deleted. It is separate from the privacy policy for the Tech Logistics website. If anything here conflicts with your company's service agreement with Tech Transport, the agreement controls.
The app is for employees of Tech Logistics customers and for Tech Transport staff. Accounts are created by Tech Transport; there is no self-service sign-up. The app is for business use by adults and is not directed at children.

The camera is used only when you choose to scan a document or add a photo. The microphone is used only when you tap the microphone to dictate to Howie. Face ID, Touch ID and Android biometrics are checked on your device by the operating system; the app never receives your face or fingerprint data. You can turn each of these off in your phone's settings.
The app does not request or use your device's location.
Howie's answers and the document scan are produced with Anthropic's Claude models, accessed through the Anthropic API. Your message text, the shipment details needed to answer it, and the image you scan are sent to that provider to generate the reply. Under our agreement the provider processes this data only to produce the response for us and does not use it to train its models.
We share shipment details with the carriers you book, as needed to move your freight. We use service providers that process data for us under contract: cloud hosting and storage (Google Cloud), push notifications (Google Firebase, Apple), address suggestions (Google Places) and AI processing (above). We do not sell personal data, and the app contains no advertising or third-party advertising trackers.
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Sign-in uses expiring tokens, and sessions end automatically after a period of inactivity. Access to shipment data is limited to the users on your company's account.
Because accounts are created by Tech Transport, there is no delete-account button in the app. To request deletion of your account or data, use our data deletion request page or email [email protected]. We will confirm within 30 days. Records we must keep by law are retained for the required period and then deleted.
